Gotta love this company...Raising more game prices to 19,50€. My favourite is Sacrifice from 10€ to 24,50E, wtf?

Who is gonna buy these games anymore? Do they expect us to have short term memory or don´t they know you can just look up price history these days? These guys, fucking ridiculous man.

Wow. That's pretty nuts indeed. Are they that desperate to be selling a 25 year old game for almost 30 bucks?
Then don't buy them. Problem solved.

This is, remarkably, the soundest advice. But it's also unpopular advice.

Queue the "but they shouldn't price it that high because it isn't fair" responses.
Well, those affected should buy the newest skin on a live-service-game instead: Which is done pretty frequently, reason for those games making billions in revenue.

Sure, i find the pretty rapid increase (instantly 2 to 3 times more is full throttle with brakes removed) in pricing not sensitive but... those old classics are still worth more than what is usually asked for.

These companies can keep raising their games price, however I will just wait until the game goes on discount to a price that I am happy with before buying.

Majority of us including myself have huge backlogs of games to play, so I am in no rush playing the waiting game.

Sure thats reasonable , that is if the mark up wasn't a insane amount and mostly only Interplay or whatever name they'll later go by is doing in marked up prices. Heck If any games deserve a Mark up its stuff like say Doom 1 and 2 aswell as Doom 3 given the fact sometime in the past we got for Doom 1 and 2 new versions along with the old ones put together multiple times, while Doom 3 we at first just had the BFG edition but now also have the o.g Doom 3

Dare I say even Days gone is worthy do to it has where one can have both o.g version and its newest version to play if desired.

Same with afew other games

In contrast what has Interplay added to these games to made them deserving of the massive price hikes or did we get lots of new extras?
One can only hope they bought these games before the price increases. It's a strange tactic these companies are using and I'm sure there'll be someone to buy these games regardless. I won't even question why lol.

I'll just wait until they go back to normal, if they ever do. /sigh
.
I already bought most of the Interplay games I was interested in, so sound of a deck of cards being flicked from palm.
Herve gonna Herve, I guess. Fortunately, I've got nearly all of the games I would want from them, although something told me I should have pulled the trigger on Messiah during the last sale.
Yeah, I'm still missing a few titles from their catalog. But these games already got unattractive when they increased their prices back in 2017, mostly from 5.99 to 9.99, and simultaneously capped the discounts to a meager 20/30% instead of the 50/60/66% as before. Another hefty price increase doesn't change much anymore, except destroy the last glimmer of hope. Oh well, I have enough backlog to weather the next 20-30 years. Sorry, but not sorry, Interplay.

Just noticed that two star trek game I was looking to get on a sale suddenly cost double what they did yesterday.

It's a 25 year old licensed game. There's no excuse to double the price.
They want to reach the original retail prices .

When you don't have anything else to sell than your old classics, but want to maintain your standards of living, the prices of those classics are bound to get increased again and again just to offset the inflation.
