Because of some connectivity issues, when I tried paying for a game purchase, the payment processor kept retrying the transaction over and over. By the time I stopped it, there were three separate charges to my account all for the same amount, so two of the charges were duplicate charges. I tried using the GOG support page but could not find a phone number so I submitted a ticket online. So far I have not received a response. What is the expected time for a response, and is there any way to speed up the process or reach out to anyone? Thanks!

Send a polite message to ponczo_ with your support ticket number.

When I was doubly charged (not on GOG), my bank told me that basically the funds are set aside but won't be withdrawn if the store doesn't complete the transaction. I had to wait about 14 business days and then the funds returned to my account. Just as well, since the vendor was slow to respond and got the transaction number wrong, and therefore couldn't find any record of it.

Sadly, I can confirm that this is not a joke…

If you paid by credit card, then you don't need to go through GOG to solve an issue like this.

Rather, you can call your credit card bank and tell them what happened. Most likely, they will give you a refund right away for the two illegitimate charges.

That's exactly what I would do if I were in your situation.

isnt it buy 2 get one sale now?
thx for supporting gog
Duplicates? Talk the bank. You ask they to cancel one pay.
