Desmight: I can safely say that the GOGMix is probably gone, because I've searched a lot for something like that, with no luck. On the other hand, the thread you linked is pretty useful. I'll add the games listed there, thanks!
avatar
drmike: I see three mixes right off but none of them with more than a couple of games listed and there's no mention of the achievements being in game or Galaxy:

Example: https://www.gog.com/mix/games_with_achievements

Found this one with a long list but no details: https://www.gog.com/mix/games_with_achievements_3
The first one seems related to what we are discussing here, while the second one I think is about games with galaxy achievements, because all of them support gog achievements, but not all of them have in-game achievements. Anyway, I'll add these:

Blackwell Bundle
MR. BREE+
Fist Puncher
Montague's Mount
Mark of the Ninja
Kingdom Rush

If someone can confirm or deny, please let me know
Shovel Knight has them (the game calls them "feats", but they're the same thing).

Edit: Unepic has some as well.

HunchBluntley: Weird. There used to be a GOGmix with an accompanying thread, but the mix seems to be gone (or the URL was changed; at any rate, it gives a 404), and I can't find anything relevant via a Google site search.
Hah! I knew there was something like that already! :)

I can confirm the Blackwell games has in-game achievements (though I'm not sure if all games in the saga have them or not...

Pretty sure that both seasons of The Last Door have them too.

Also added Trine Enhanced Edition and Trine 2: Complete Story. Let's wait for someone who can confirm that Trine 3 has in-game achievements as well.
Just discovered that The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut has built-in achievements, added

Ps: can anyone confirm about Blackwell Epiphany having in-built achievements?

Can anyone confirm in-game achievements for Torchlight series?
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis has what it calls an Indy Quotient (I.Q.) that is sort of like a score based on what is done in the game. There are three paths (Team, Wits, or Fists) and they sometimes overlap, so all three paths have to be done and everything in each path, in order to get the max total of 1000 points. In other words it's all optional, there are many ways to complete the game, and the score is simply a gauge of how much of everything has been experienced.

There's not a listing in the game itself of what gets scored and it never announces something was accomplished. The score itself is visible when pressing "i" to toggle from the view of the inventory to the score, so watching the score is possible if desired and therefore it's also possible to notice when something counts.

There is a hint book in the game goodies that lists everything that counts towards the I.Q. and their values.

Not sure about the sequel (I don't own it), but I've seen no sign of any in-game achievements in Torchlight.
What is a definition of an achievement? While Dungeon Siege is not on GOG, is it e.g. an achievement that your characters' titles keep changing the better they get in their profession (e.g. a melee fighter, an archer or a magic user)?

Are the extra tasks in GTA3 in-game achievements, like finding all the "hidden packets" and then getting extra weapons as a prize? Or are achievements something where you don't get anything tangible that is useful within the game, but just some title or badge?

I won't define the Dungeon Siege thing as an achievements system. As for GTA 3, you're talking about side activities which kind of resemble what achievements are, because they give you a completion rate based on a list of things to do, made by the developers. Usually I think of achievements as something like in Shadow Warrior 2013, where they are a mix or challenges, side activities, and they are not tied to the save game but they stack when you start a new game. However, achievements, when not platform-related (e.g. Steam or Galaxy achievements) are really arbitrary when It comes to defining them. There are also examples like The Saboteur (and, I would say, Batman Arkham Knight) where doing side activities and challenges gives you something within the game, but that's not mandatory.

That's interesting. It's tied to the save game, I suppose, but it resembles an achievements system in many aspects. I'll add It to the list and mix, it's cool to discover how many ways to keep track of your completion rate of side quests and challenges there were in older games. Nowadays it's all pretty straightforward.

Thanks!
I'll probably make a new GOGMix (and I'll delete the old one, the grammatical error in the title really stimulates my OCD and you can't rename GOGmixes :p), and I'll add detail about the in-game system that provides achievements, when and where it's possible. So please, add some details to clarify what kind of achievements or challenges we're talking about, it'll be really helpful, thanks!

O.K. - then I will confirm that Trine 3 also has ingame achievements (just tested it).
Great thread/mix btw :)
