So, I got my birthday coming next Monday, Feb 8th. I'll be 32 years old if you're curious. :)

Anyway, with the current Steam Sale going on and with Nuuvem having a sale as well, I thought about buying myself a game or two.

The problem is, I've plenty to play right now, including that free NFS on Origin, and I am planning on getting Cities Skylines next expansion as soon as available (admittedly, I barely played the last one which I also bought on release day) and, also, Street Fighter 5.

I wanted to get Mad Max from Nuuvem, but I'm currently playing through Saints Row 2 and 4. I wanted to get Grandia 2, but I'm still stuck with Trails in the sky, The Witcher 2 and also 3, which I bought right when pre-order started and have never installed so far.

Not to mention that I finally have access to my Desktop once again, so I'm getting back at a few other games I left uncompleted, like Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Grid 2, Dirt Showdown and Titanfall, among others.

Also, I am actually spending most of my available game time playing Season 5 of Diablo 3.

I know this sounds like a stupid first world problem, but I'm feeling kind of frustrated, because I want to buy something, but can't justify buying anything right now.

Do you guys ever get this sort of feeling?
It's basically how I always feel about buying games now. I've got loads, it would take me six months to a year at least of fairly solid playing to get through all the RPGs I've got in my account now and it's difficult to justify buying another game just to add to the pile.. it's not like I actually need it, I've got far too much to play as it is..

Thankfully, my problem is somewhat mitigated by the fact I can't afford any new games anyway so it's a moot point XD

P.s. Happy birthday :)
What games are you trying to buy?
...
...no, no, I'm not asking for any particular reason. Not at all. Nope.
I can relate.

Sometimes I happen got get something and immediately play through it, like Satellite Reign, for example. But that's rare and unpredictable. :(
P.S.: Thank you!

The ones mentioned on my original post, Mad Max and Grandia 2.

Though you can always sate your curiosity on my wishlist here on gog or my steam wishlist, really. http://steamcommunity.com/id/falci/wishlist

I hope that satisfies your particular lack of reason. :P

Hehehehe... I personally like to imagine me with a gatling gun. Things are always more fun with gatling power! :P

I do, i have almost 10€ on my Steam Wallet so i could buy something from the sale but to be honest i don't feel like it because:

a) Already have a huge backlog;
b) The discounts are low in comparison with previous years;
c) Too many times i have bought a game to later appear cheaper or on a bundle without i even had played it.

I mean, it's cards money so in theory i'm not even wasting any money...

If you really feel like buying something to celebrate your anniversary then just get one game, one that you really want and see yourself playing in the near future, otherwise just play the games that you have on your backlog, by the time you finish those then you will even more cheaper prices for the ones that you want to buy now.

I never have this problem. It looks like you're not a trader. Brazil has some of the lowest prices and you can trade for steamwallet at a profit to south american regions with higher prices. Then you use this profit to get more profit and eventually free games. It takes time and experience but once you're on a roll you can't stop.

If you had to "buy" everything you wanted to own then you could never end up with all of them without being very rich and wasteful. Let the frugality run through you! :P

I know, as I said, it's a stupid first world problem. By the end of the sales, I'll be most likely feeling better. This "consumerist fury" happens every once in a while when something that interests me goes on sale or a huge sale like this happens.

Hahahaha... yeah, I'm not really a trader. I'm a telecommunications engineer by education and a software engineer by option. Though I wish I was a professional sci-fi/fantasy writer. :P

No one knows how to build their own computer or drive a car until they start doing it.

You either start doing things out of interest or necessity. I had neither so far when it comes to trading.

As for the funny motivational, I actually write some things from time to time, mostly notes and long sinopsis. But I'll get around to it someday. :)

Here's a true story: I once had a short story of mine chosen for a collection. After more than a year of waiting until the collection got published, the publisher went under. T_T

That's an option, I definetly like cyberpunk stuff and the other two were great. Also, thank you!

Look for some games which doesn't require a lifetime dedication. A game like Jazzpunk can be finished in one day.

You could also buy a tabletop game - as I understand it, they do not stack in your backlog. Looping Louie, and [url=http://www.boardgamereviewsbyjosh.com/2013/03/timeline-review.html]Timeline are all great.

There is a table top thread here:

More importantly, happy birthsday!

Jazzpunk didn't quite catch my interest, honestly. The problem with tabletop is that I'll never get around to properly playing them, I tried with Hero Quest and failed.

Also, thanks! ^_^
