Try this at your own risk if having issue with saves and installs in latest Windows 11: In the security dashboard is now an extra 'Smart App Control' under 'App and Browser Control' there. If disabled one can not reenable without reinstalling the system, but I turned this off. No more of this trouble I began having with the latest updates; not sure when this program was added, but I moved from 21H2 to 24H2 recently, and no more fun until I turned it off: I hope this helps Others here!

You should own your computer and have the right to do with it as you please, instead of being beholden to mysterious processes and "enhancements". It is a tool for you, and not others to use for you.
Losing function and legit features in any os, in order to continue "security", is by rationale, not secure.

My opinion: Buy Windows 10 parts and stay offline with your stuff in win10. Use another system for surfing like Linux or...
was going to say android. But google just went full throttle into asshole city and decided, by next year to remove installing all programs not vetted by them. In which vetting requires extortion payment to the G mafia.
