BreOl72: GOG should never have introduced this refund feature.

With DRM-free games, this is just an invitation to buy a game, download it, then demand a refund.

And if GOG gives you your refund (thus working actively against their own ToS), just complain that it's "only" a refund to your GOG-wallet (which you can't use anywhere else, of course), and GOG will go a step further and give you your money back, so you can spend it wherever you want.

Then - still full of glee - you go to the forums and brag about the fact that you've just successfully taken GOG for a ride.

And with every of these (ab)users who get away with this behaviour, chances increase that the next one is already around the corner, waiting for his chance to grab a new DRM-free game for free.

In many aspects, GOG is way too lenient with their customers.
Very true. This is going to bite us legit users in the a** at some undefined moment. Cheers

Hey lordofkrikkit, just wanted to say thanks for your reviews, specifically of Spore. Here's to hoping your fight against DRM and for reasonable consumer continues.

Do you have a blog or subreddit or something where there's an overview of different gaming platforms and related consumer rights issues?
It's not worth getting Pdox games on GOG because the best thing about Pdox games are their moddability and large modding community, and of course GOG doesn't have a mod workshop like Steam so you need to manually download and install them - if you can find a non-steam download at all. I would not play an unmodded Stellaris for example on my life.

Not manually downloading and installing mods!! Heck all those extra clicks! Far better to lock mods behind steam workshop or creators club so the bone idol only have to click once and the rest of us don’t need those mods anyways!

Talk to me again when you've had to manually install Stellaris mods dude. It's not even just a matter of dumping a file into a folder, you need to manually edit text files so the mod works, it takes ages.
