So, I ran across this game a while back. Not too long ago. I'd imagine it's still in development, but I forgot to bookmark it or had to reinstall Windows or something crazy, lost the website I found it on and can't remember the name of the game.

It's sort of an economic building sim. Basically, you're an innkeeper I think? You have a top down (3D) view of the inside of an inn or merchant establishment, where you can build 'rooms' to suit adventurers as they wander to and from your inn. As far as I know, the basic points of the game are building within the inn and pacifying travellers' needs.

It's an indie game and I think I found it on some website that had a seemingly endless listing of free indie games. In a grid-type pattern, white background... (I know, that's probably really helpful lol) I've been searching and searching and have used all the keywords I could think of. It's set up a lot like Dungeon Keeper, without as many options, set inside an inn or something like I mentioned. Purely casual gameplay, I don't think there's any aspect when it comes to fighting or tactics other than strategy used for placement of necessities within the inn/gameplay area.

I'd really like to find this game, as I have many people in chat that I think would love the gameplay and I want to get the word out about this game. I feel it has potential and I'd like to play it as well.

Thanks for reading! Hope I can get to the bottom of this lol. I'd love to find that website again.

There's Fortune's Tavern - The Fantasy Tavern Simulator, but that's not free...

I also found this free flash game called Innkeeper.

Thanks for the reply! Wasn't sure anyone would lol. I'm almost positive it's not a flash game. I ran across Innkeeper thinking (by the name) that was it, but I'm pretty sure it runs natively on Windows platform. Possibly other OS...

agh, I wish I could remember the site. Or even a few games that I had found there, that might lead me closer to it's destination. Forune's Tavern may have a similar aspect to the game, but there is no game world outside of the tavern / inn that you're placed in charge of managing. It was in early development when I ran across it, and being indie and in early dev makes it really obscure. I'm going to keep looking and might go through some old files to see if I stashed it somewhere.

Thanks a bunch for the help!

I do remember, around that time I was browsing RPGmaker.net , which, the website I found it on was quite similar in terms of displaying tons of free games. Indie / freeware. Not sure if that helps if you're still on the mission with me lol.
Was it "Orcish Inn"? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=320951828
Let us know if you find it. Also, don't lose hope. There are plenty of gamers here that might know the answer. In fact, I was impressed when someone found an obscure movie I was searching for... now if only someone could find my missing sock...
