I have bought IL 2 F. B. here and it works fine in W10. I'd like to lauch it at 3840 x 2160x32 but it doesn't go upper than 2540x1440x32, even if the higher 3840... resolution appears in the menu of the game.
Have you any suggestion to fix this problem. The game, except this, is still great and run very well. Bye

Probably like a lot of games, widescreen or large screen just wasnt a thing then. Even if it says that resolution you may get black bars and such. Check out:

Which shows you how to hack the correct resolution with a conf.ini edit.

Many of the older games have an upper limit on the resolution they work with, even though it shows them as an option in the settings. Not sure if that's the case here, just saying that many older engines have technical limitations and the games will either crash or freeze if you select a too extreme one.
