I am runing windows 10 but I do not seem to be able to save a game. My screen says save successful but when I go to the load game screen therre are no games to load.

This almost sounds like you installed the game inside some window folder like Program Files. If that's the case you should try installing inside some folder you've created, like:
C:\Games
or
D:\Games

1. You should use game specific forum. It's is not the deadest one compared to others here so there is no real reason not to.

2. Have you checked if those saves exists physically on your computer? They should be in IWD folder found in your Documents folder.
Maybe you have restricted access set to that folder by your WIn setting and the game can't write there?

The folder exists. The title of saved games exist. But my docs and IWD folders are both marked read only and there is some kind of error n win 10 so that I cannot change it to non read only . Every time I repopen the properties it is read only.
