KiNgBrAdLeY7: I don't know if this is the trick for me, but i have my cat(s) be indoors mostly for sleep and company, yet the rest of the day prowl outside free. They do their needs outside and whenever inside, they are very timid, quiet, shy, etc. Little furballs though can be devils, sometimes. But they are so cute and adorable...
I would've had him outside, if I wasn't living in a flat on the third floor.

Maighstir: Taking a couple of the larger pieces and some hobby glue, and he's good as new again. A few bits had broken off, but he was mostly intact, save for a new haircut.

If they don't like your delivery, they may punch you, so that could be a punch line.

Tauto: Then,I'm up for a few punches in the head because none here comprehend/understand Aussie humor.
Cats don't understand any human humour as far as I know, they react on how you act, your delivery. :-P
Of course, if you deliver cat snacks, you get a new friend... at least until said snack is gone.

On that note, my cat is currently deathly afraid of me because I'm carrying around a spray bottle filled with water. He's gotten showers from it before.

I deliver a swift kick and they bolt up the road after they get balanced again.

Whoops. Then it should always remain indoors...

They usually do that in that situation, yes.

Cats will fight foes they realise they cannot win against, but only if they have no way of fleeing.

Sometimes they win though, even against impossible odds... That's what i love the most about cats. They have that extra touch of potential/destiny about them and are tailored to be the best predators, in nature. They can fill up any role and they make the impossible, possible. Without planning or preparations, at that, merely at a whim of the moment (or pure chance).

Thanks a lot, i owe you one, too!

That cat hadn't come to the realisation that he couldn't win, and apparently he was right.

Animals usualy have a good sense of character, I'm suprised YOU can get close enough to any animal to kick them.

Never harmed an animal except the very odd time I've had to spank my dog and that hurt me more than her.I have the trust of most animals and know how to approach and befriend them almost instantaneously. You are correct that animals sense a good or bad character.
