It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Windows Pro 64 bit has taken away my ability to view any directory or files there in. I forget how to completely make everything viewable. Some one must know how to do this.

use cmd64 and enable hidden/system files. in the options.
Oh? how simple. Basically I'm trying to find the save files for the GOG version of Machinarium.
Windows 10/11:

Open an explorer window.
Click "View" menu/tab at the top.
(Preferrence: Double click so it's ALWAYS visible.)
Toward the right are some checkboxes...
CHECK "hidden items".

For more, click "options", change to View tab, and scroll list. Change "hidden files and folders" to "show hidden files, folders, or drives". These should be the same thing, but this is Windows we're talking about.

I also suggest turning off the 'Hide extensions for known file types.' or whatever it was called. One of the less brilliant ideas of Microsoft.
Pffsh, just use a different file browser. Like this one.

Or these.

I'd suggest Thunar or Dolphin, but I'm not sure the former ever existed for Windows, and the latter was last built in 2019, so uhh...
Using Windows 7, folder options will fix that. How it exactly goes for the others, i'm sure it isn't too different.

To reach your user direcrtory, simply type

%userprofile%
There are also other variables
%appdata% leads to %userprofile%\Appdata\Roaming
%localappdata% leads to %userprofile%\Appdata\Local
Sadly there is no variable for %userprofile%\Appdata\LocalLow

Very few games make use of the dedicated savegame directory %userprofile%\Saved Games.
Most you will find in Documents, others in AppdataLocal or Roaming. The bad guys of the industry save to LocalLow, which should never be necessary for games, but they do it anyway.

edit: the files for machinarium are supposed to be in
%APPDATA%\Amanita-Design.Machinarium\
Also try:
%APPDATA%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\<user-id>\localhost\
<path-to-game>\machinarium.sol

For the latter, type %appdata%\Macromedia\
then work your way forward.

Ghastly. You actually use your computer with the lettering and interface so overpoweringly bright?
