I got back home from vacation and found that gog account cannot be found. It seems like a bunch of other people seems to be having this problem as well. I made this account under the same email, but the username is still taken so I'm not sure what to do.

From what I can tell alot of people are getting their account turned into ru accounts or something. I really hope that support can help me out here.

Contact support or one of the staff via the forums directly. The community can't do much.
How do I contact one of the staffs directly? I'm not very savvy with how GOG works. I sent in a ticket to support already, so I'm just waiting atm, and hoping that it gets solved soon.
Here are a few GOG team members, however none seem to be online right now:

Check back later to see if any of them are online or find another member.

Find one of their posts, hover over their avatar, start a conversation.

Ah okay, thanks alot. I really hope this gets resolved soon, because it seems this is happening to a few people from what I've been reading in the forums.

To continue on from what cogadh said, the staff have blue text (though old posts from people who are no longer staff are still blue), so find a fairly recent blue-text post.

Yes, I think that it's time for GOG to implement two factor authentication... An email to confirm a login from a previously unused address would be sufficient in most cases.

Only if it's voluntary. I'm not walking next door in a blizzard just to get to a computer with an email so that I can log on.

I don't mind if it's voluntary or not, but I wish it were there at least... Also they could use cookies to see if a browser was already used once and don't ask again for that browser.

Yea, I'm finding people are having the same problem as me, but they probably just think it may be a bug. It might be a bug but I can see someone is using my account right now and it's upsetting me.

Why aren't your email ends with .ru? Those crazy russkies, stealing from their own comrades! This is outrageous, it's blasphemy even! ;)

Isn't it easy to add cellphone check, like normal companies do (e.g. Google, Facebook)? It's much harder to hack cellphone from different country you know.

As said a simple email confirmation before logging in from an unknown browser would also suffice. Then it could store a cookie with the browser's code... It's pretty easy to implement actually.

They do use cookies and don't ask the same browser within a short period of intrruption. It's even don't ask my Chrome in Incognito mode for some time and if added a few minutes my account still logged by this time only password confirmation needed (half-logged mode). Cookies is the worst thing for account secutiy?
GOG should go into 1-2 minutes session using secured protocols go HTTPS://GOG.com ;)))

Yeah, it's not hard to implement a GOG Spam machine ;)))

Just got my account back.

Did want to Login about a week ago and now the Support did Change the eMail to my original eMail adress.

After I could Login everything was changed to russian language - Age was changed and changed to from Russia.

Don't know how this could happen.

Did not happen with my Steam acc / eMail / Facebook nothing just the GOG account.
