It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

...as I've verified other conditions and solutions pertaining to them and none work.

I tried making my Windows Font folder non-read-only, but GOG still wouldn't install unless I skipped this error.
[and I won't push it with some permissions on some system directories/files, as modern Win' seems to intentionally break when one attempts of overthrow its increasing "Authoritah!"]

I think this is why every update to GOG still retains this error, even after a deep uninstall and re-attempt at reinstall.

Assuming that you're writing about Galaxy, it would probably be better to go to http://mantis.gog.com and report your problem there.

I'm going to have to hold on to the "Essential Components Missing" error for now, else I cannot install GOG unless I skip the "AddFontResource failed" error which throws up choices of...

Either:-

Broken "Essential Components Missing"/massively delayed start-up Galaxy - after ignoring install errors.

or...

No Galaxy, due to cancellation and roll-back after Windows' Fonts folder install failure.

I want Galaxy installed, so I have no choice but a broken install until this is addressed.

Thanks.
As I usually type the formatting first, I must have dropped the cursor back in the wrong slot to add content.
