Point_Man: That sounds like a chargeback. Just so you know, most companies that operate a digital store (Steam, PSN, Xbox Live, etc.) will shut down or freeze your account if you hit them with a chargeback for something. At least as far as i know. Not sure if GOG does this as well, but i wouldn't be surprised.

Sometimes they will tell you if you want to regain access to your account to pay back the amount you refunded in the chargeback. So you might want to tell Paypal to hold off and see if you can sort it out with GOG support first so you don't risk your account.

AlexNobody: I'm not asking for money back on things I've already bought. It's undoing a double charge.
Up to you what you want to do. I was just letting you know what can happen from chargebacks in case you didn't already know.
Tech support told me to contact them if Paypal hadn't refunded me within week.

By means of a chargeback, which is always better to avoid if you can.
They said it's okay to wait for paypal to work it out.

Fairfox: I don't get teh drama.
The drama comes from two things mainly:

1. Money is involved.

2. It is up to the user to recognize that there has been a double-charge, and complain about it.

If it was like that the double-charge would be fixed automatically even if the user didn't notice anything, then I guess it would be ok, just a tiny glitch. But if the user makes several failed purchase attempts for one game and gets charged multiple times for the game (that he didn't necessarily even get) and doesn't even realize he has been charged (multiple times)... yeah, you know, that sucks a lot.

At least for me it isn't necessarily that easy to check instantly whether I was charged. I need to wait some time before the charge appears to my credid card account, go to my online bank, and recognize from there if there are several charges for the same item. The first time this happened, it wasn't easy to recognize because it was a big sale where I had bought lots of games from GOG over several days, so the only way I could recognize which two (or more) charges were double charges was to see that they had the exact same amount charged by GOG. It is not like there is a message in the charge identififying which game was bought with it etc...

Anyway, I am happy this hasn't happened to me ever since. Anyway, to me things like these working 100% is much much MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH more important that how some stupid forum chat, notifications or whatever works. Meh, who cares about all that useless shit, it is money that matters in this world.
