There's this game I played around 2008 on windows where I played as a pink blob hopping on tiles up in the sky and I had to change all of the colours of the tiles as well as collect food. Does anyone have any idea what the name of this game is, it would be a big help

Was it a big AAA* game, or was it a small indie?
That is an important question, since there are so many big AAA games where you're a pink blob hopping on tiles up in the sky eating food.
Sounds like a Q*Bert clone.
That isn't a game, that's what happened to me when someone slipped something into my drink at an Urge concert back in '93.

It was a simple game that came preinstalled on the laptop

Do you remember what laptop it was? That might help finding the game. Also, what Windows version was it?
Otto's Magic Blocks?

It's a Wild Tangent game, and they're the ones that tend to come pre-installed with Windows so it seems likely.

Hi everyone so I am trying to find a game I played a few years ago. I remember a lot of detail from it. The game was a pixel game, I believe it was made through Armor Games. It's kind of a puzzle game, you have to click through the game and find a key, a flashlight, batteries, a pickaxe, rope, the light piece for the lighthouse in the game. There's an elevator in it there's a few different rooms, there's outside parts of the game, but there are these black figures that are in the game throughout it. The quote I remember from the game was at the beginning of the game. As I stare into the abyss the abyss stares into you. I remember how the games ends too, you have to go into the lighthouse all the way to the top of it and come back down the stair and the black figures are waiting outside and there are a bunch of them they come up the stairs as you are going up them and you have to put, I guess the light into the lighthouse and rotate it, so it is shining down the doorway and it makes them black figures disappear. There's is also a phone call that is recorded in the game and it on a recorder. It a room you have to unlock. None of this is in order of course but I am just writing down the parts I remember.

If anyone could help me figure out what this game, it would be awesome.

Well, in that case, I would probably spend some time with searching through Armor Game's Puzzle games list:
