I can't say I'm surprised, after the (still unresolved) issues with the DXHR Director's Cut, the total bullshit "augment your pre-order" scheme, Denuvo, removing DRM-free builds from their store without any warning (didn't affect me personally as I never bought anything there, but it's still a huge dick move to those who did) etc.

I don't care how good the game is, unless and until it gets released here complete and DRM-free I'm not even going to consider buying it, or any other Square Enix games for that matter... I wouldn't even accept a free copy.
