Dark_art_: For the better power saving card you should go with Nvidia gt1030
Anyone going for a GT 1030 should be careful, as there are some variants with DDR4 instead of GDDR5.
*sigh*

I have a RX 470, but 100% of the games I've played on PC in the last year would have worked on my old card, the HD 7850. It got a good 200 hours of use in Battlefield 1 when it came out, but it's barely been spinning up its fans ever since.

I also drive a car with 170 horsepower in a country where the highest speed limit is 80 km/h.

The 710 isn't worth 80 CAD. 70 CAD or 60 CAD. It was released at a price in that ballpark in 2014 and it wasn't worth it back then either. Now that 5 years has pretty much passed, it's sold on ebay for like 20 USD though even that's massively overpirced for what you're getting.
Any nvidia card with the last 2 digits being smaller than 50 belongs in the garbage bin and nowhere else, because those are desparation cards which are used by people who don't have an IGP built into their CPU to temporarily make a computer output a picture. Massively overpriced and out performed by integrated graphics processors on CPUs.

If you can. return this piece of garbage. Don't keep it as a spare. You can get a "spare" GPU on ebay for like 15 bucks if you need it for some reason to just give you a picture on the monitor while you wait for your replacement to arrive.
