Elmofongo: Well I can run Crysis 3 on my PC at ultra.

...

And also my Crysis 3 on Origin does not work, for some reason it won't launch and I tried Re-Installing wiping out everytyhing related to Crysis 3 on the PC and it still won't launch.
I see a contradiction here

No no no at first I played the game and beat it.

But sometime later when I felt like playing it again (and it was still installed mind you) for some reason it won't launch anymore?

Perhaps then it'd be appropriate to say, "...but can it run Crysis' DRM?"

jamyskis: Actually, that's not a given. Crysis 1 is very poorly optimised for modern PCs, so while Crysis 3 runs on my PC on ultra at close to 60 (AA turned off), Crysis 1 tends to run closer to 30 in thick jungle.
I admit I'm a little ignorant of these sorts of things, but that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Was that just poor programming on the part of the people at CryTek? Or did it have something to do with the verson of DirectX that they coded for at the time?

So... it could run Crysis earlier, but currently cannot?

Poor multithreading. Technically, the Crysis version of the CryEngine supported multiple cores, but the reality of it was that it ran much better on single or dual-core systems with better performance on individual cores than on lower-performance CPUs with 4 or 8 cores.

If it's showing you a black screen or a black window, try alt-tabbing out and back in.

No as in it does not launch at all, no black screen or anything.

I press play on Origin and nothing.

Not even an announcement that something is wrong. And the game WAS installed.
