yesterday i bought a plane ticket from Buenos aires to Japan, all the hours that you can imagine to get there, but still so excited for this, i have a lot of things to plan and little to no money to do it.

anyone here went to japan?, is currently living in japan? i take any advice that i can get haha, where to stay, places to see, etc.

i studied the language for 7 years, i reached the old 2kyuu proficiency test (now is N2 or something like that) now it´s been so long that i don´t talk i´m nervous. i´m going back to the books.

i´m going in november because my girlfriend wants to go to a concert and the tour of that band usually begins in november.

i´m just really excited so i wanted to express it here haha. thank you for reading

gotta remember how is goodbye in japanese... right sayounara
...not to sound unkind
but im getting flashbacks to the opening scenes of go go nippon right now
Don't wear your 'Enola Gay' shirt while you're there.
Well DragonBall Z Ressurection of F is gonna come out this Saturday in Japan.

Remember to screen like a maniac when Godzilla shows up.
Currently living in Japan, and I'm N2 too. Wow, Buenos Aires? Talk about a long-haul flight... -_-

Where are you going exactly? I bet Tokyo?
You'll always be a gaijin no matter what you do, so relax.

he'd better be rich then
Have fun! I lived in Japan for a year and go back to visit my wife's family once a year. I wish I could spend more time there and might like to move back some day.

I think you will find people to be very polite it will be easy to get around especially if you can speak the language (on both counts). Where are you going?

Yes. You need to be a sugoi gaijin. Speak to them with all of your kawaii Japanese words and let them know that you're up to date on the latest animes and video games. They love it when they see foreigners who invest into their culture like that. Also, you'll fit in better if you gel your hair in a spiky manner and make overexaggerated expressions about everything. So if you get an expensive bill at a restaurant you'll angrily go "nanda korya?!" and punch the table. Or if an old man starts perving on you go "YAMETE!!!!" really loudly.

You should be well on your way to embracing Wapan in all of its glory. Good luck! :>

I prefer this version of Japan:

Be born an attractive man. Then it does not matter what you do, wherever you go.

Couldn't hurt to bone up on your yaoi though. You gotta take the initiative to set the example.
