Well then. I don't suppose this leaves me any excuse to not obtain Bastion this week.

I know, I just couldn't resist to create a loop between topics. Hope you don't mind? :)
At some point the pay what you want model has to collapse with all these bundles and single game sales.

Yea, it doesn't seem sustainable for a long term. But anything could happen.

I wonder, would game pricing reset itself in a way when the PWYW bundles and single game sales more or less tap out the supply of games people are interested in?

It seems like many of the PWYW/bundle sellers can't compete in terms of numbers with Humble. This seems like a response to the Indie Game Stand.

Well... why?

I don't see why they would; they're really good deals in every respect - although this depends on what PWYW in question - and, so long as they remain so, people will continue to buy them without any complaints. These Humble ones are certainly the best though; no question there.

Already own this one from a Humble Indie Bundle but I'd be tempted to buy it again for the artwork and sheet music as it's a beautiful looking game and a beautiful sounding one too. If you don't have this game already, now's certainly the perfect time. Great title.

The market being flooded with bundles and promotions will lead to buyer fatigue and disinterest. Also, and I admit to being guilty of it, people try to keep up with them and eventually realize they have bought so many cheap games that they will never get around to playing them all. So people become less willing to buy the next thing that comes along as they know it will likely sit on the hard drive and never be played.

I'm not so sure... why would it collapse?

Although what you say about gamer's creating a backlog is undoubtedly very true in many cases, I don't necessarily believe this means that these bundles will see a decline. Bundles with repeats are usually less popular but new games are being released all the time and, as the more popular ones become part of future bundles, people will buy the regardless of their buyer fatigue, if they have it, and those that do have it are - or so I must imagine is the case - such an insignificant number that it won't harm their success.
All of those bundles just keep recycling games; how many times Humble Bundle offered same games as bonuses or otherwise? I am pretty sure Bastion has been in a previous Humble Bundle.
Sucks to be the indie developer who doesn't know bundle people.
