Hi folks!
I just love to play games on the big screen, butt in couch or comfy chair. For me, that's the smartest and most comfortable way to play. But there are some disadvantages for us, GOGers, who mainly game on the pc. Gamepad support non-existant for some games we love (and that would fit nicely on the big screen), small fonts and golden oldies are just part of the "problem".

Luckily, there are some alternatives nowadays and I won't say that is something I consider valid, particularly speaking. Nope, [url=http://files.tested.com/photos/2013/07/17/55-50232-lv_2-1374074995.jpg]nope.

The Phantom Lapboard, although expensive, is more approachable, but a controller seems like the best deal. In this case, the Steam (yup) controller that emulates mouse clicks and cursor seems viable for most games. Again, you just won't play an intense RTS with a controller and expect mouse + keyboard results.

As for me, the most satisfactory combo would be a controller like that, which contemplates 90% of what I play + something like this, console like case and big screen.
Oh btw don't game like this dude here.

So, what's your ideal comfy couch setup? Something that works, please! :P
C y'all
I hook up the laptop to the TV, then I connect a wireless keyboard to the laptop (the keyboard has a touchpad attached to it). Works fine.

Something like this?
What games do you play on it? Trackpads are good for gaming o_O? :P

Yes, like that.
I mainly play adventure games, so it works out just fine. I'm not a hardcore gamer. Heck, just look at my tagline!
You could always get something like this.

Nice, eh? I'm thinking of something more all around, but for particular cases such as yours, great stuff
;D

Not familiar with me, eh? Somebody hasn't been keeping up with the forum.
I don't have such a setup because the PC platform is intended to be played and projected in front of your face a few centimeters away.

However, wireless keyboard and mouse. Problem solved. You don't have to use a questionable controller like the Steam controller, just this is enough. However, you aren't going to solve the problem of tiny text and interfaces made with the average PC player in mind. You have to wait till they get console ports, which put into consideration the fact that you sit far away from the TV to play.

I got better.
Laptop near the TV, connected with a HDMI (or DisplayPort-to-HDMI) cable. I operate that laptop from the couch with a wireless keyboard and mouse.

Works fine for me. The reason I do this relatively rarely is because quite often either I or my wife wants to see some TV program _while_ I am using the computer, so instead I have the laptop with me on the couch (maybe operating it with that same wireless keyboard/mouse), using headphones and playing.

I bought this from IKEA, in case I want to keep the laptop on my lap on the couch while playing:

It has just enough room on the side to use a mouse too, unless the laptop is very big (17.3"). Or then I use the mouse against the arm rest of the couch, that works fine too.

EDIT: This is the wireless keyboard I use: Logitech K360. I am quite happy with it, it has a very good feeling for a chiclet-type keyboard, light to hold yet it is a full size keyboard with a numpad too (which quite many older games expect too).

For a wireless mouse I use a generic Logitech M325, it is ok (for a small wireless mouse).

EDIT2: Since a picture tells more than thousand words, this was my earlier picture of the setup (see the attached picture, wrong date on the picture due to the stupid camera).
