Some possible types of censorship would be:
1) self-censorship from the developer (like CDPR deciding to not say something, or saying something they don't want to say)
2) censorship by platforms (Steam, Stadia, Xbox, or Playstation deciding to modify files for their platforms)
3) governments and zealots try to coerce the developer or platforms to block or ruin the content for everyone.
4) a government which retaliates against its citizens who obtain the content: they find a PC with Cyberpunk, confiscate it, and criminalize the users. Maybe the government thinks a cartoon bear is a threat to national security (oh bother). Maybe being caught with a 3d simulation of a bottle of whiskey and a nude dancer is a jail sentence somewhere.
1) not much to do other than encouraging freedom of expression and association for all publishers, 2) in this case GOG would be the solution: if it's censored on GOG then that's basically the same as 1 since GOG is related to CDPR, 3) I don't know, I consider this too soon to know since the game is not released yet. I'm certainly going to keep an offline copy in case there are any future shenanigans, 4) what to do when you don't think the laws are just?
You could find other examples and try to figure, with the content known to be in Cyberpunk through "Night City Wire" and other released footage, have other games had similar things which are still available to you? Was "Witcher 3" censored on any other platforms, or did the censors issue any warnings about it at the time?
