Hi,
easiest method (as already posted in this thread):
get a copy of the "ComputerBild Spiele DVD Ausgabe 8/2006" cover DVD.
That contains version 1.0 of "American McGee presents: Scrapland" and is installable, absolutely hassle-free from DVD, under Win10.
Simply insert the DVD, open the DVD's menu, choose "Spiel kopieren" and a directory to install it in. Done.
Start the game, change the resolution to something more modern and you're good to go.
You don't even need the DVD in your drive afterwards. The game starts without it.
Btw: you can find a copy of that DVD on Ebay (attachment 2).
