I just recently learned about GOG from a friend and decided to download two games today for the first time. I even installed Galaxy on the recommendation that it would be easier to organize and start the games. But when I try to run the game, whether by clicking 'Play' in the Galaxy application or running the program by itself, nothing happens. I hardly ever play games on my computer so the answer is probably really simple, I just don't know what it is.

Can you please open up task manager to see if the games are running at least?

It would be a plus if you mention the games in question as well as give some information about your computer. Usually with support forums, if you reference something, it;s a plus to state specifically what you;re talking about. Just remember that you;re the only one who can see what is occurring.

Nope, the games aren't running. They're the old KotOR Xbox games. As for my computer, all I can really tell you is it's an HP Pavillion running Windows 10. I don't know much about computers in general, but from what I've been told I shouldn't really be having any issue with games as simple as these.

Ahh, yep! Incompatible file type, just had to rename a couple settings files and both games run perfectly. Thanks dude!

I definitely will! Kotor II was the first big RPG I ever played and I've loved the games ever since. And it doesn't hurt that I probably never would've played Mass Effect if not for Kotor ;)

Have you played Saints Row 4? It's a brilliant parody of Mass Effect, and several other games.

Haven't gotten around to that one. I actually just sold two of my consoles and I'm looking to get more into PC gaming in the future, but for now I have to stick with older games that a laptop can handle without crashing xp

How do you thnk I found GOG. :P Been gaming a LOOOONG time, been here for about five years, but have only had a really good PC the last three months so up until then it was ONLY old games. Shit, I'm playing Commandos and Diablo 2 right now, it's still old games. :P

That's awesome dude. Lately I've been playing the old Zelda games like OOT and Majora's Mask. I guess I'm getting old or something lol, but I'm having more fun playing retro games lately than new titles

You think you're getting old? I don't consider OoT, much less MM, to be one of the "old" Zelda games!

Other than one or two snags in the game, i certainly enjoyed it more than SR3. Heh, i think it was a better 'Matrix' game than the official ones :P

Awww... Now I don't want to play SR4 until I've played the Mass Effect games, and that won't happen any time soon as EA keeps the games on Origin. Maybe I'll buy the full trilogy there at some point, for a cheap price.
