I read reviews on the Baldur's Gate enhanced edition and saw that people were saying it was worse than the original. However, I saw that the original is bundled with the enhanced edition when I was looking at it. So, I bought it so I could play the original again. So, I either need to know how to get the originals that were promised, or I need to return the game but cannot find the option to do that. How do I do one or the other?

Go to the game, click on More, select Serial Keys, you'll get your key for the original.
well?

Serial Keys is not there. Thanks for the attempt!

Ahh, not there in the gog client, but there in a browser. Even then, it was confusing as it said that it was the key for the enhanced edition. Thanks much for the assist.
I'm so glad I got the retro versions before this crap happened.

Now that's just silly.

Look, no one likes a good laugh more than I do, except perhaps my wife and some of her friends. Oh yes, and Captain Johnson. Come to think of it, most people like a good laugh more than I do, but that's beside the point.

Some older games, especially ones that used GameSpy would require a valid key code for online or multi user play. It is just how their clients worked. Stand alone didn't really need them.

Sure, but it's not like you ever needed a serial key to download the original game prior to the existence of the enhanced edition.

Now I understand. Gift codes, I never noticed that since I had originally bought the original. Sorry for the confusion on my part.

No worries, I too enjoy being happily lost (I don't mean to brag, but I do believe I excel at it). :)

My god, that is even sillier!

Cats are never ever lost, and they are far more articulate than most humans give them credit for.
