Enable JOYSTICK then press DEFAULT.

I've only tested a couple minutes. Also, FORCED FEEDBACK doesn't work and not sure if that's on my end, or even something that just won't work at all.

I also saw a couple buttons like "SLIDE" which aren't mapped yet. Not sure what they do but I'll investigate.
Ok but this is for the X360 will it work the same?
Here's the thing: Star Wars Pod Racer came out in 1999. The Dreamcast still drew breath at such a time. As such, Xinput didn't exist yet.

So you're either going to have to use a different controller, or some kind of utility to fake it until you make it.

What controller are you using? In case you're using a PS4 controller, you can use this to map keyboard keys to that controller.

Long story short, it'll trick your computer into thinking you're using your keyboard when you're really using your controller.

Okay, just saw you're using a 360 controller so this might help.

I have to pay for it?...No thanks unless there is something free.
Can try using Joy2Key to map to keyboard controls. Analog won't work ofc.

I played several games from 1998 and 1999 using the Xbox 360 controller without any additional programs, it just worked. The only things not working were triggers and it had no force feedback, but I had no need for those.

But, I guess this is not one of those that just works...

I think for a while you can operate it in free mode.

Ok I'll try that out.
Hello guys,

Any idea appreciated!
The game shows that it reads my gamepad -> 4 axes and 12 buttons. I have activated the gamepad and set it to default... but I am unable to play with it.

- I have tested with 3 different gamepads -> 2 x D-INPUT and 1 X-INPUT - all register in windows successfully
- I have tested Xpadder, with keyboards keys... but the games refuses to register

No luck at all :(
If you want to play the game "Star Wars Episode 1 Racer" on a notebook/PC with Windows 10 (64 bit), I recommend a PlayStation 4 controller. I can play with the controller and have no problems.

Just press Ctrl + J to enable joystick when the race starts.
It worked with my Xbox One controler.
