I have a lot of games I’d like to give you all. Is that how this works, or how?
Thanks
Sam

The only way to really help is to buy games from GOG and give feedback on issues with the games. What you're talking about falls in line with abandonware sites.
Are you an authorized IP owner? If so, get in touch with GOG at https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?form=other&product=gog or the mod here and someone can probably forward you to their bizdev team.

If you're a regular user with a bunch of suggestions or ROMs, stick to the dream list - https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/
Yes. You just have to press the discs very hard against your monitor screen untill they pop onto the website.
It involves a lot of legal mumbo-jumbo and business level type of ownership and distribution rights.

Personal copies of games cannot be used, if that was your intent.

If only it was that easy.
As you may have figured out in the meantime and from the other comments that's not how it works, unfortunately.
Figuring out/clearing the rights for a re-release on GOG remains the biggest hurdle.

Well, the only suggestion I'd have would involve rubber hoses, so maybe we'll skip that one.

Getting the source code of old games goes a long way towards helping, or cleanroom reverse engineering. So if you know of anything like that, it helps.

Are you talking about actual games?
Or are you meaning Gift Codes?

If the latter, then that isn't how Game Preservation works.
If the former, then the others have basically explained about that.

That said, everyone of us that buys a DRM-Free game from GOG and downloads the Offline Installers and backs them up, is engaging in Game Preservation.
Use offline installers, free Gog servers from the burden.
