GoG have a corresponding galaxy id to the steam id. I want to play the game Dragons Dogma on a secondary GoG account (this one) and hire my own pawn in the game (from the account that owns the game).

I read a reddit post on how to do it on steam family shared accounts. The reddit post tells me to change the steam id in the dragons dogma save file to match the accounts'. Following the same steps on a GoG copy of the game I find my main accounts' "galaxy id" and now have to find the same id for this account.

Finding steam id in steam is not too complicated but I have no idea where to find the galaxy id other than through buying dragons dogma, reading the save file and then refunding the game. Anyone know where or how I can find my accounts' galaxy id?

Log in through a browser, open https://www.gog.com/userData.json, and you'll find some info about your account. Can be a bit annoying to find, as the browser likely doesn't format JSON nicely, but just shows it as plain text. The values for "userId", "username", "galaxyUserId", and "email" should be close to each other.

Hmmm... why does that tell me Games:181, while I only have 180?

Thanks a lot! I could never have found this on my own.

EDIT: Interesting, the ID from this method does not match the ID I found in the dragons dogma save file for my main account, perhaps they use something else and call it "galaxy id". The question was still solved by your reply, truly thanks.

Mine says 174 when I only have 173 too...
Could be something odd like the Galaxy Beta entry or some other removed or hidden entry...

1030/1026 for my game library, and 14/12 for my wishlist.
I'm not sure if this will work. I don't think you can utilize Galaxy's online features on an account that doesn't own the game. At-least that is what I have read... and this is a Galaxy powered game.

You could be right. My trail of thought was that there is only some lock saved locally in the game. This was based on that steam family sharing allows for multiple different accounts to play the game online even if only one account have bought the game. The reddit post (which I cannot link since im a new user) mentioned changing their "steamid" value in the Dragons Dogma save file to match the active accounts steamid in order to play online.
