I am sure they tested more in the past, when they only had a couple of hundred games. Now with 7000 entries they would need a lot more people for that and they don't have that manpower.
And with games like Tunguska, that gets several updates per week, the testing would never end.
As long as no problems are reported, devs have a lot of liberties.
