I've wondered how many years have past since the short stories in The Last Wish and what is happening now in the Witcher universe. The reason I ask is because I'm currently reading The Last Wish and certain regions are ruled by different kingdoms entirely. Blaviken on the Arc Coast in Redania, for example, is apparently ruled by a king named Audeon when The Lesser Evil takes place, and is therefore not even part of Redania at that point. Either that or there is some sort of feudal politicking going on and the current king of Redania has Audeon as a vassal and Senior Protector of the Blaviken and the coast and the title means nothing.
