Ive purchased 4 games thus far through GOG but it's been awhile. I recently bought a game and was going to gift a couple family members so we can play it together. Every time I try it isn't allowing me to do so since I havnt bought a game in 3 months i found online, but how long until I can after i just bought one?

I also went to 3 different places and finally got at a prepaid gift card for each of them so they can just buy it with that as a gift. The very common Vanilla visa gift cards are not working either. It should not be this hard to buy a game lol.

I tried to do the chat support and that thing is... i cant even. Is there anyone else here that can possibly help?

Usually it's 24 hours that have to pass between gifting one copy of a game.
That's when purchasing via PayPal or the wallet, don't know about other payment methods and if or how that's affecting said default(?) 24 hour time window.

Thank you. I actually bought it almost 24 hours exactly. Have about 30 minutes to see. It was via Paypal so I hope thats the case. I will update for future readers. (These questions should be pinned with the questions on the site IMO)

Note that the requirement to buy a gift isn't to have bought a game for yourself in the past 3 months, but to have spent at least $10 for yourself in the past 3 months.
There's also a 24-hour waiting period before you can buy the same game as a gift again.

I cannot buy a game as a gift, why? There are many forum posts from Americans saying prepaid cards don't work. According to the following support article, this is because many American prepaid cards don't support international transactions.

I tried to make a payment and it didn't work. What can I do now? Apparently, there were many instances of stolen cards used to buy games as gifts, to resell or add to other accounts. So now we're saddled with these limitations that are cumbersome for some.
