For people in the USA, that's January 3rd, 6 PM EST, 5 PM CST, 4 PM MST, and 3 PM PST respectively.

Maxvorstadt: January 3, 11 pm UTC is January 4, 1 am CET.
CET is UTC +1, not +2 (which would be CEST, as well as EET). So it would be midnight on the 4th in your timezone, not 01:00. :)

Well I used this tool:
UTC to CET converter
and it should be correct what I wrote.

You don't need to use a tool for that; CET is UTC+1. :)

The online tool that I usually recommend for basic timezone-related uses is actually not a converter, but an interactive map. I would say that a visual representation of the zones helped me to learn the ones that are relevant to me more than any text-oriented converter would have.

Oh, wait... I guess I live in a time zone that`s CET +1.
So for me the right time would be UTC +2, and therefore my result would be correct for me and everybody in my timezone, but obviously not for other timezones.

Well, if you wanna live in the Independent Personal Republic of Maxvorstadt, and consider yourself as being on UTC+2, that's your business. ;P But assuming you're still in Germany (yes, even Bavaria ;) ), you're technically on UTC+1 (not "CET+1", which is not really a thing -- CET is a timezone, while UTC is the time standard to which all timezones are relative) until/unless Europe goes back to Summer Time, at which point you will be on UTC+2.

Look at it this way: nearly all of western Europe (including Germany) is always one hour ahead of the UK, and the UK is currently on GMT (which is UTC+0). This will likely only change if either the EU or the UK (but not both) decides to stop switching to Daylight Saving Time -- or to switch to it full-time.

Well, then something is wrong with the converter I used.
Hm, you brought me on an idea..
Why not found the Republic of Maxvorstadt? Maybe online?
I love the fact that the sale lasts for a few weeks, because it gives me more time to buy new games, but I'm also disappointed by the fact that there aren't a lot of new releases during the course of the sale.
The sale is not long for this world anymore. I give it a week at most.

Various " republicofmaxvorstadt.* " domains seem to be available. Get cracking!

That's basically the norm for this time of year, sale or no. If it weren't for the Winter Sale stretching into the new year, there'd just be lots of complaints about there being nothing much happening. (Not that there won't still be such complaints after the sale's been done for a few days, of course. =) )
