Question as stated in the topic. I just bought a game and received a confirmation email... but the game does not appear in my account.

What is the normal time period for a game to appear? on steam it is instant...

Try refreshing your account - https://secure.gog.com/account/refresh
Is it a pre-order?

If not, try https://secure.gog.com/account/refresh

Failing that, do you have any games set to 'hidden' in your library? (There is, or was, a bug related to hidden games which could make a game disappear.)
thank you both that has resolved my problem.

Strange issue... as there are multiple games that you start out with that are "free". I really dont have any interest in those so i hid them. not sure why that causes the new game i purchased to be hidden as well...

Additionally, i do not know why games that are not even available on my platform are listed in the account.

Either way, I am downloading it as we speak. Thanks to you both!

Unless you hide Games, GOG always shows all games you own no matter the OS you use.
At this point I'm supposed to come in and tell you that Tyrian is one of the greatest games ever so don't overlook something just because it's free. :D

It's a bug. You should avoid using the hide function, as it might cause your games to disappear.

When you make an account, GOG offers you a number of free games to try out, theoretically, before you make a purchase.
