bela555: They run towards you from miles away and stop you for search.

But if you kill them and they respawn, they will remember you killed them.
I'm just semi somewhat slightly curious about KingdomComeDeliverance (it's not even on my WL it's so far from something I think I'd ever get because of 'issues' I see)

and I see stuff like these 2 things, it's easy to just say "NO interest"

respawn? and they remember?! I didn't think this was fantasy in the slightest? where is this crazy otherworldly magic coming from?

Some NPC die and disappear forever, some respawn after days or weeks. More important NPCs respawn pretty fast (ones with names, ones have quest, or merchants, guards of the marchants). And there are some unkillable NPCs, mostly main quest related ones.

It is probably a bug that they remember.... there are plenty in the game.

ya, to me that is UTTER CRAPPPPOOOLLLLAAAA / terrible game design, no excuse for it these days

if I can kill an NPC, I want them DEAD, and the world needs to account for allowing me to do have killed him in realistic way, or if the game can't have them be dead, don't let me kill them

especially when it seems so much is trying to be based in realism, to have characters who you killed brought back to life - dummmmm

RadonGOG: Thanks for this very detailed answer. You haven´t played one of the other games as well? ;)
No problem.

No sadly, I didnt play Elex and Risen III. The only thing I know Risen III got pretty bad reviews.
I own Risen II, but I only tried it and didnt really play it. So I don't really know how things work in that game.

I understand what you say, but from the other side villages would be empty after time... and so many quests could break without respawn.

why would villages be empty? and that 2nd part is the whole issue, quest writers need to account for the player doing things the game allows them to do in creative ways, it's seriously NOTHING new and not unreasonable to demand complexity to quests, especially in a game like this

but thanks, definitely zero interest now

The population in the smaller villages is low. So if you start to kill people it will feel empty.
Ofc they can make a system where they replace old people with new ones.
But sometimes it can be weird, you kill some members from a family and they replace them with random new people.

that works, ppl be like "ooo, a new home to move into, and so cheap, murderhouse prices! yes!"
how is it that you are the son of a blacksmith in medieval times but don't know how to use a sword???? genuinely curious how the game explains that, if anyone would answer

also, were compasses common use back then? I don't think so, how the fuck does the character have a compass?

seriously done looking at this game

final comment - the main character look retarded, and talks retarded, how can anyone enjoy that???
