Riotact: Last review I read was a 5* review of a game by the husband of the developer, so.... Yeah, reviews here are kinda not very good tbh, so a lot of people don't bother reading them.
So what? You need to show it impacts the objectivity of the review, without resorting to >implications. If anything, it's a point in the game's favor that an additional pair of eyes has been over it and confirmed its quality. *I* wouldn't allow my spouse to stake our family's reputation on a shitty unfun game. I reviewed two games I'd playtested and gave both of them five purple stars of excellence -- hell, I'm a character in one of them. If the games hadn't been awesome, I wouldn't have been playtesting, and I wouldn't have wanted to be a character. Fact: in one of them, a central puzzle with one hell of a buildup was surprise!broken in what was intended to be the final release version, and I stirred up the biggest shitstorm ever scarce hours before release and alienated like everyone on the team. I also was fired from my day job for playtesting at work, among other things. But it got fixed. Because, short of calling in a bomb threat to GOG HQ (and maybe not even that), there was no way I was letting the players have one of the best experiences in their life ruined by a badly overlapping hotspot. But sure, go ahead and complain about OBJECTIVITY!!!1!
