Is it possible to convert a GOG game that is shipped in a ScummVM package so that it runs via Dosbox instead?
Case in point: The Legend of Kyrandia. I have an old floppy version on hand that I can run in Dosbox. I'd like to do the same with the version available in GOG. I used to think you just needed to swap the executable file, but seems like it's much more complicated than that.

Follow-up question if you don't know a solution to the aforementioned problem... How does one take screenshots in ScummVM? Because in Dosbox it's simply Ctrl+F5, and you can easily specify the directory where to save them, but ScummVM isn't intuitive at all in this regard. I tried one method mentioned in the wiki, and it doesn't work.

It's possible, but Dosbox would need to be configured first and then you'd have to set up a new shortcut that points to the custom .conf file.

However, apparently you can press ALT+s in ScummVM to take screenshots.

Alternatively, get a dedicated screenshot program like Greenshot, which is free.

EDIT: Actually, looking at GOG's installation of Legend of Kyrandia, it seems you have to run it in ScummVM, because it only includes the game files, but not the original executable.
