I am so ‘not techie’ minded so bear with me ! I just bought KSP for my daughter as a surprise birthday gift. I have the receipt with an order number but got no download or redeem code numbers. Is the receipt order no the code? I don’t know where to begin with finding the game. Step by step instructions would be great if anyone has the patience to send me. Thanks so much.

Maudieok:
galaxy client or browser?

if browser, hover your pointer/cursor/mouse pointer over your name, click games, find game, click, download offline backup game installers(there maybe many), choose(or not) where you want to download the file(s), after that find the downloaded file(s), install the game from there, choose(or not) where you want the files

Did you make sure to buy it as a gift code? If you didn't, it's stuck in your account. (Which, if she didn't already have a GOG account, and you only created this one to buy this one game for her, is maybe not a problem, as you can just give her the account you're posting from --containing Kerbal Space Program -- as the gift.)

DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING YET.

She's trying to give the game as a gift, not play it herself. If she starts downloading it, she won't be able to get it changed into a gift copy (assuming she wants to do that).

Lols, oh I am so bad at this stuff. thanks for the reply. here's what I can tell you. I went into the store and bought it. got the receipt and that's it. (I signed up to a new account and I used by phone to purchase it so my daughter wouldn't be looking over my shoulder while I was buying it).
so in answer to your question - and this is how bad I am at techie stuff - I don't know what I got Galaxy or Browser ? It was 15.99 euro if that helps ?

Thanks for your reply. I didn't click buy as a gift because it will be used (I am hoping) on the home pc so its not like I will be posting her the gift. I thought I would get a code and I could print it off for her and put it in to her Birthday card. that's what I was hoping for !! Oh I wish I just got someone else to do this . aw well ! I appreciate all your help .

Does she have her own account here on GOG or not? If not, do you mind sharing yours with her? Sharing allowed as long as you are in the same household.

As long as you have time before her birthday, it's probably worth contacting support as they can convert it into a code that you can put in her birthday card.

I'll message one of the staff members and point them here to see if they can help ASAP (probably tomorrow morning).

That would be fantastic. I sent a message but not sure if I made sense or even filled in the proper fields or posted in the right forum. Hopefully I’ll get a reply! Thanks so much
If you're having download issues, take your cat-5 cable, cut it so the wires are exposed and dip it in lime juice...

You'll be using the power of limewire then...

Does she already have a GOG account? Because if not, you really could just giver her your login info, tell her to change the associated e-mail address (in your account settings) from yours to hers, assuming she has her own, and let her contact Support to change the account username later if she wants.

Alternatively, follow chandra's advice (blue text, above) and contact Support. They can get your game changed to a gift code, or help you download and install the game, if you just want to have it ready for her on your computer. (If the latter's the case, in fact, this Support article should help you out.) :)
