UnicornMastr: When you money back guaranted you just money back if the client want to money back
If you money back with conditions, you dont money back guaranted, you money back with conditions
So, they lies because they say they money back guaranted while they money back ONLY if the game doesnt work
Do you catch the trick ?
Well, the games here are DRM free, meaning once you have downloaded them you can theoretically install and play them forever without having to go to your account page again, so it is kind of understandable that they don't have an unlimited refund policy - with Steam you can refund a game no questions asked if you played it less than two hours total, but then it is removed from your account and you can't play it any more (usually). Here, if a game was to be removed from your account and you already downloaded it, you can still play it, and so this would be an easy thing to exploit. Being DRM free already entails the possibility that people simply copy the installers and give them to others for free (even though that is also against their policy, but they just have to trust their users on that), so I can certainly understand that at least they don't want to refund the one copy that was actually bought (meaning that people who copy installers for others may also be likely to exploit an unlimited refund policy).
Sorry for being toxic here but i'm very frustrated I can't have my game in french, i finally download the gog client, there is a little another option in the client, maybe it will solve my problem, but maybe not, we'll see
You can see the languages a game is available in on the individual game's pages before buying and then choose the language before downloading. Not sure if there is an option to automatically download all games in a certain language, if available, as I almost always play them in English (unless it is a German game), and I for one are annoyed that I have to change the language to English every time I install a game through Steam, so this goes both ways. Granted, it is possible to change the language on Steam after installing a game, but I would appreciate it if I could specify a preferred language for downloading games (and such a feature would also be useful here, although I would not really need it as most games already come in the language I want).
Anyway, while, as I said before, GOG is certainly not perfect, I am glad that not everything is automatic and one-click (at least not yet). In times where users have less and less control over what the devices they use actually do (while the companies selling them claim that it is all in the interest of the user), I can live with having to do one or two extra clicks to get my game here, as long as I get to choose how I want it to be. You want easy - use the client, as others have pointed out. But having different choices is a good thing, not a bad one.
