I want to purchase MGS2 but I can't.
Because It does not appear when I search to MGS2.
Does MGS2 have regional restrictions?
This question / problem has been solved by Randalatorimage
There's a restriction to japaneses, according to the release thread. And it looks like you koreans were lumped together with them in the IP geolocation.

You can get someone else to buy the game as a gift and gift it to you. Alternatively, use a VPN

I used to free VPN Tunnel Bear.
I relocated to USA, UK, Brazil, Australia, Germany but same result was obtained.
I couldn't searched MGS2.

Because your account is still linked to your original location through session cookies.

- Log out of GOG
- Clear browser cache and cookies
- Start VPN
- Log in to GOG
- Search game
- Buy Game

Please note that your IP and account location have to match for a successful transaction, so after switching off your VPN you will have to do the log-out/cache-clearing routine again before you can buy from South Korea again...

What is a good VPN to use?

Hard to say, i've heard NordVPN has been hacked.

Though if you don't have direct ties between your account and you (vs say logging in with Joe.Smith as the username for example) and at each VPN point it doesn't keep track of your traffic as to keep you both anonymous and protected in case of hacking in the future, i'd go with that.

But if you use something that transfers data (Say cookies on a web browser) instead of being more anonymous it might be Facebook says 'Oh Joe Smith is currently in Germany... for some reason...'. Though they may identify ip addresses as VPN's and know you really aren't there but can't tell exactly where you are.

I can only suggest looking at what they offer and balance it between price and services/features. But at the very least all traffic from you will be encrypted so snooping from the ISP or similar will have some minimal protections.

Figured. I can only give a general suggestions. I've started actively using my VPN that i got more, and it offers some advantages, like Ficher 2 hour timeout for file downloads going away because i switch IP's. Or having more peace of mind when using Torrents (biggest reason probably), or not wanting too in depth history if i decide i'm interested in tentacle porn.

Though most of the time i just listen to news while i play games...

Any way you slice it, there's pros and cons to everything.

ProtonVPN is free. Not sure if you can use it to stay safe
The Open Source Community Edition of OpenVPN is another good one.
Ok, there may be legal reasons for regional restrictions, but it's so damn silly you have to resort to such methods to give the publisher money for their product. Just take our money, please!

Isn't OpenVPN more for routers? I see an option on my router where i can log into my network from remotely, but that hardly does anything more than give me access to my own internet and/or files/computers
