Wrong. DRM is a mechanism that is built into the game, to allow someone else to control it. There is nothing inherently 'DRM' about using a client application to install/manage games.

It's not a form of DRM unless it involves Digital Rights Management.
Any other form of management that is under YOUR control, is not your Digital Rights being impacted in any way.

I understand DRM is just when you can't do it without. As you can download, run and install GOG games without GOG Galaxy, Playnite or Heroic and there are just optional I don't see how they adding DRM. For some GOG Galaxy, Playnite or Heroic provide some conveniences which is why they are used.
