Homeworld Remastered Collections card says multiplayer is only available between gog.com players.

If I purchase it do I need GoG Galaxy? Or is the multiplayer 100% Digital Rights Management (DRM) free no GoG Galaxy and no CD Keys needed to type in?

If its only between gog user as it says in description then you need Galaxy for it.

So they couldn't even be bothered to make the multiplayer available between GOG and Steam users?

I knew Crossplay was a myth. That would explain why nobody can be bothered.

Not always a myth, Van Helsing Final Cut on Gog has cross-play with steam, but apparently it's somewhat hard* to achieve

* The VHFC "developing for the GOG Galaxy client took a bit longer that expected" , and I assume it wasn't the achievements part that kept them hanging... Quite possible Gearbox being new to Gog, didn't invest that much. Yet.
