I selected the "français" option from the "language" pull down menu on the download page. I thought that would give me a French version of the game, but the game GoG installed is English with no option to change language that I can find. Since the game is from French developers it must be possible to play it in French. Is my assumption correct that the pull down "language" menu is for selecting a language for your installation? I have seen a few threads saying the pull down menu is broken, so that might explain why I have the English version. I have also seen a few threads talking about games that use OS default language regardless of users language choice which also might explain it. In any case, what do I have to do to get the French version? Adding languages was flagged as the main reason for an update on the most recent change log. So I know this must be possible.

In that case there should be an *.exe file in the game installation folder to change the language. A lot of games have these.

I think there are seperate language offline installers you can download.
Just log in with your browser, go to your Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete game in the Games section,
change the language from English to Francais and then download that Offline Backup Installer.

You can also download the HoMM3 HD mod, that enables you to run the game in higher resolutions and has
many other improvements. It also has a launcher where you can change the language.

EDIT: Well I tried both suggestions. There is no language switching .exe file in the install folder, only the uninstaller and a couple of map editors. The latest version of HMM3HD allowed me to select Français in the launcher, but as far as I can tell it has no effect on the game. I will keep HD though. It looks good and lets me easily change my screen resolution.

I think the problem must be that the pull down menu is broken as I have heard. I tried resetting my game language preference in Galaxy and re-downloaded the game via Galaxy and, voilà, I now have the French version.
