I have been watching GOG for a while in hopes there would be a link and download location to find and buy the Hitman: Absolution side game Sniper Challenge.

I have not found it in the game so I can only think it was going to be sold seprately from the Absolution game like it was
for all PC.

Is Hitman: Sniper Challenge available or will it be available so that Hitman fans like myself?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

The "Hitman Sniper Challenge" was a pre-order exclusive bonus for "Hitman: Absolution".

Since the pre-order phase stopped at its release date (Nov. 20, 2012), and you never could pre-order the game here on GOG in the first place (release date on GOG was Apr. 4, 2019 - so, almost 7 years after the fact), AND - to the best of my knowledge - it also never was available as a stand-alone title...it probably won't be released as such, after all these years.

Also: I'm not sure, if the "Challenge" was ever part of the regular (= non-pre-ordered) main game AFTER its release,...but if it was - didn't it need an online connection to work (since it basically was nothing but an online e-peen comparison)?
If so - that's probably the reason why it got cut from the GOG version.

However: if you really have the itch for some stationary sniper fun, there is an alternative available for mobiles, which they released in 2015 for Android and iOS: "Hitman: Sniper".

No idea why it's not part of Absolution on Gog, seeing as Steam version still comes with Sniper Challenge included to this day. Iirc you get some little extra (skin or weapon) unlock for Absolution if you finish the challenge first.

Thank you for your input BreOl72 but I can tell you that the "Sniper Challenge" pre-order was original set up to get the mini-game. Simple fact was. It was stand alone from the start. And about 6 or so months after the game DLCs where all released Sniper Challenge came out as the stand alone game for anyone who wanted it. I bought it for my STEAM HM Absolution release for $5.99 right after it posted available. I included this in my comment on the wish list here.

SO. As it was made available, like any other DLC for any game out there, including so many that are now on GOG, like the Ghost Warrior Contracts games, there is really no reason, other than inability to get the original S'C. mini game to GOG code for us, why GOG cannot bring it to us here. I just wanted to find out if it was included in the game along with all the DLCs that came with the game package I purchased here since I have yet to find it. It only makes sense that it would be a long offering since it was "Stand Alone". You played it without the main game running. I played it more hours that I care to imagine but I want to play it more without the STEAM client running in the back ground, or having to be online with STEAM to access the game at all. As with so many games that are here. Having them with NO DRM is a very nice thing to have.

Hope that helps.

It is not included, as far as I can tell.

That may be as it is...however: right now, it isn't available as stand-alone...anywhere.
And yes: I also own it.
But as I said - I received it as a pre-order bonus.

As I already wrote in my initial post: the online requirement (if I remember correctly: the game's progress was recorded by a worldwide ranking = online(!)) of "HM: SC" might be one of the (if not even THE) main reason(s), why it isn't available on GOG.

Of course, the seven year gap between the releases may play a role, too.
I honestly can't say, when exacty "HM:SC" (as a stand-alone) got taken off of Steam.

I also got it well after the pre-order bonus had ended. In fact, I bought Hitman Absolution in 2018 and I also got the Sniper Challenge included in my purchase. I had not opted in or clicked on a separate entry. It was not a pre-order, but it was included in my Hitman Absolution purchase.

I think there has been some miscommunication here. It's standalone in the sense that it's a separate entry in the Steam library; not that it can be bought separately.

Edit: in the same sense that the Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War expansions are standalone entries in the library, but they cannot be purchased separately (but are included in the GOTY edition).

Doesn't change the fact, that it was played online and that it isn't part of the GOG version - probably because of that.

Just found this:
"Hitman: Sniper Challenge" is a stand alone preview for Hitman: Absolution, which was exclusive to copies pre-ordered from GameStop or Steam.

Now, it comes with the standard retail copy of "Hitman HD Trilogy" (PS3/XBox360) and "Hitman: Absolution" on Steam, or if the "Hitman: Absolution - Elite Edition" is bought."

Edit:
https:// www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Hitman:_Absolution#Version_differences

Quote: "All purchases except the GOG.com version now include Hitman: Sniper Challenge which was previously a pre-order exclusive."

While I thank folks for the input it took far longer to get the answer to the question I asked
as the initiator to get GOG to bring it forward to us since it is not available anywhere but on
STEAM right now.

And as for the comments about having to be "Online" to play it. This was and is only true
IF you WANT to upload to the leader board and add the points earned to your game. The
fact is. I played it, with STEAM running in the back ground which I hate having to do on a
slower machine since it wastes resources on or offline. Half the times I played it my client
was in Offline Mode. That means the STEAM client was running but was not connected
to the STEAM servers. When I first started doing this it was early on with different games
and to insure that I was TRUELY offline I unplugged my cable connection for my internet.

So. Yes. Sniper Challenge IS Stand Alone UNLESS you want to upload your scores to a
leader board for inclusion in events and adding points to your game history, etc. I tried it
again yesterday evening. Again. STEAM in OFFLINE mode. Internet cable unplugged. I
played it about a dozen run throughs. All without being online.

NOw. To the goal I had by introducing my request.

How many folks here would like to see the Hitman: Absolution side "Mini" game Sniper
Challenge become available here on GOG? There is no reason we cannot since Hitman
Absolution along with all of the DLCs that where released for the main game are here.

It should be included here just like it was/is out in the STEAM world because there are
a LOT of folks who enjoy playing it. Personally I do not care if it includes the support it
needs for connecting to any leaderboard for uploading scores even though the contest
that was part of the original process is no longer running as far as I can see or find.

HANDS UP FOLKS!! Let's make it known that we want "Sniper Challenge" too!

Doesn't matter how many folks want to see it here.
It's Io-Interactive's decision, and Io-Interactive's decision alone, to release it here (or anywhere).

I see, you have discovered the sole WL entry for the "Sniper Challenge", already.
358 votes.

I doubt, that those will convince Io-Interactive to create a GOG exclusive stand-alone version.

And I'm pretty sure it would need to be a stand-alone version, because I'm also pretty sure, it wasn't included in the GOG version in the first place, because it needed an online connection to function fully.

OR...maybe...it still is a Steam exclusive deal for PCs...that would at least explain, why it's still included in the Steam version.
To quote again from the release trailer: "Hitman: Sniper Challenge is an EXCLUSIVE standalone..."

And just to make that clear: I also doubt, that 3580 votes will convince them.
Probably not even 35.800 votes would do that.

But hey: nobody's keeping you from contacting Io-Interactive directly and demanding it.
Good luck!
