Avast deleted all the files of Hitman Codename 47...
What a coincidence. I'm about to delete all the files of Avast.

Too bad this isn't a question thread because that really is the best answer.

And that is one more reason why technical questions are not your forte. ;)
My FIFA game got "corrupted". Wonder if Avast is at fault too...

As a serious reply to the OP: Check your Virus Chest. Chances are you can easily restore those files and add it to the exception list. There have been numerous reports of false positives to GOG games before.
Ah, like me it seems that Avast considers Silent Assassin the far superior game. :P
Yes. it happened with someone else too earlier.
Try these.
Turn off Avast.
Try Inno Extract to extract Setup files.
Turn on avast and scan extracted files and note down the name of file(s) it detect as threat.
Upload all files to Virus Total.
If other antivirus says it's a threat then you can assassinate Agent 47 else add it to Avast exception list.
Mostly GOG games are just false positive.

Well while you could totally shove a small bit of malicious code in a ROM on pretty much any USB device that probably hasn't occured to too many people.

Had the same issue and reported it to Avast on Monday. In my case though, Avast just considered the "hitman.exe" file to be "FileRepMalware" instead of deleting all of my game files, so I could run the "setup.exe" file without fail, but not the main game.

like i said overzealous ;p
So, it was just a false positive? Or was there really a virus or something in the game files?
