The GOG version re-reckoning save games aren't easily edited like they were in the regular version.
Finding Inventory limit with a hex editor and changing the 2 bit pointer to a slightly higher value, saving it
and loading up that save. Every time the game sees it as a corrupted save file.

Could this be an intentional limitation by the game developers? I notice there's virtually no save editors available.
Is there anyone that knows how to raise the inventory limit of Re-Reckoning through hex editing?
They completely changed the savegame system from what I'm reading from others on Steam. Old saves aren't compatible with the new game, so yeah, using an old savegame editor is going to target the wrong point in the savegame and corrupt it.

Could this be intentional? Sure. A lot of devs don't like people mucking with pre-set limits or cheating their saves. It's equally possible it's just a result of the development process.

EDIT. Follow InkPanther's link.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well... there it is.
That would be ok but, it's too small to clearly see what's being done.

Someone else posted about killing a merchant that has backpacks, sleeping for 4 day, and purchasing from the merchant again, and again, etc. I could play around with a ton of repair kits and keep one set of armor and weapons.

Now I understand, same method I used for skill points!

i belief you can use certain chests as stash points but i might be mistaken with baldurs gate here
After getting rid of spiders and rescuing a person elsewhere, you get a house that has a large stash chest

This will blow your mind: it was posted on steam and works with re-reckoning. Takes some getting used to and learning how to navigate the different sections. What really surprised me is showing all locations towns, most of them with teleporting activated in all areas (Reckoning default area, Teeth of naros, lodk, etc.
