Hahahahaha, soon as I saw the thread title my mind instantly translated it to read:

"Here are a bunch of indie shovelware July releases that won't come to GOG, but will be available from Humble bundle for $2 for 15-20 games within less than a year."

Then I clicked to read the thread and found out I was right. LOL

If these games are indie shovelware, then how would you describe Fossil Echo, Black Moon Chronicles, Celestian Tales, and Lost Sea? Y'know. The games GOG actually deems fit for release.

Said it before and I'll say it again:

We WANT GOG to curate games. That means some people's favorite game gets turned down. But it also means GOG doesn't get buried under a ton of shovelware.

Why? Is the average GOG shopper's intelligence too low to figure out what does and doesn't interest them? Probably not. Why would more options be a bad thing?

Because shuffling through shovelware is tiring. I like the idea that every game that shows up here is worth looking into, instead of having to wade through tons of crap game every day and hours of research in order to find the few good ones. GOG does that for me, these days if an indie game doesn't make it to GOG I don't even bother looking into it. Although, as Gilozard said, some very good games do get left out.
