The funny thing is that I talked to one of Backbone's developers yesterday, and I was going to bring up GOG as a plan for their Kickstarter. Today they made this tweet,
Would you like to see Backbone DRM-free and on GOG? Please vote for us in the community wishlist here - https://t.co/kwwQXcw0Gm

Thank you! <3
Source

Here's their Kickstarter page if you want to see what they have planned for the game.

If you feel like it, you could support them by voting in the community wishlist here, as stated in the tweet.

Added my vote
Gotta say that actually looks quite stylish, voted even if there isn't much point.
Well, GOG sure could use one.

HIYOOOO!
Is this what people like nowadays? Games are going backwards.

Fairfox: o sweet a gamie with two gazillion reward tiers with crowbarred in ks crap liek named characters, bars, objects (?!), portraits of nerds, etcetc

ps mah current cake is called jennifer. jennifer cake

Hey, Fairfox!
These kind of rewards are common, because being involved in the game development process is a usually an interesting experience for people who are not game developers.
If you like something more special we also have hand-crafted one-of-a-kind rewards like Diorama, or Detective Case Quest. Also have meme packs if that's not enough!

Which rewards would you like to see?

Hey Tauto!

We tried to combine high-res pixel art (which is a just a stylistic preference) with current industry standard technologies, like proper lighting, particles and materials.

We are interested in what on your opinion does not follow the progress of current times?

Whats the story, Wishbone?

Its not my sort of game, but I have been known to make exceptions for animation eye candy. This game looks like it would probably qualify.
what's Backbone?

One word (Graphics).I see a preview with this make of game and delete it forever, never to be viewed again. This sort of thing may appeal to many but I think that there is plenty out there which will turn off just like me.Games were made with great graphics (once) now it's this pixelated rubbish. The story may be good but I don't care as I value the games graphics as well.

We understand and respect that. Our team believes that graphics also involves the rest: dynamic lighting, modern materials and particles, which we use. Yes, we don't use objects with high amounts of triangles, though we have high res pixel art and animation, which is just our style. The rest is the same as anywhere else.
