I have been playing Gabriel Knight 1 20th anniv and have a saved game, but I am no longer going to have access to that computer and want to transfer it to another computer. I have been able to download my purchased game from GOG, but cannot find a way to transfer my progress. It seems that game does not have the ability to save in the cloud, so it is only on the local computer, I guess. I tried to copy the program files to a hard drive and then the new computer, but there were still no saved games to load.[

I am not a computer genius, so I would need simple broken down instructions if there is a way.
This game just takes so long to go through all the steps to get to the point where we are now--I hate to have to do all that again if I can pick up where I left off.

You just have to copy the save folder found here C:\Users\(username)\AppData\LocalLow\Phoenix Online Studios\GK1 if you need to transfer your save files to another computer.

Thank you--I found that file and copied it, but I am not sure now where to paste/put that on new computer--under which file or app? Sorry for being so slow, but whatever I have tried so far has not seemed to work.

You paste it back on the location you previously copied the save folder from. Meaning, on your new computer, try going back here C:\Users\(username)\AppData\LocalLow\Phoenix Online Studios\GK1 and paste the save folder there. I'm not a techie myself, but if you can't find C:\Users\(username)\AppData\LocalLow\Phoenix Online Studios\GK1 on your new computer, try opening the game first, exit, then try looking for it again. Usually that save destination will automatically be created upon the first launch of the program.

But anyone who knows better than me, please correct me if I'm wrong.
