Hi there.

So I have been a long time gog user but never really participated in the forums etc. I'd love to get involved in discussions or add people to my friends list so that I can chat about games I play or potential help in areas that I'm not too hot on.

Hopefully this makes sense lol

Any help or chat would be appreciated, thanks.

Hello.

If you're looking to get involved in game discussions, there's game specific forum discussion.
For example, here's for Neverwinter https://www.gog.com/forum/neverwinter_nights_series
Maybe you can add people to your friend list from there, since you have the same interest in the game.

Additionally, you have to change the privacy setting and allow messages from everyone to be able to chat with others who's not in your friend list.

Many helpful people here so I hope you find what you're looking for in the forum.
