Gee, i found out some things by tampering in my router settings. I only need help on a very specific field, if anyone knowledgeable could afford it, please... (i already found out about blocking addresses, urls, applications, filter function, etc).

I realized that in access management, there is something called "CWMP Setup". There, there is something called " /tr069 ". Coupled with a username i myself sure as hell never created and a masked password, which i don't even know what it is and what it does. Those are for the connection request information (function). Then, there is the ACS Login information and it contains an url of a webpage, that whenever i try to go to, says:

"Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /VirtualHostBase/http/remanage.otenet.gr:80/VirtualHostRoot/live/CPEManager/CPEs/genericTR69/ on this server.
Apache/2.2.16 (Debian) Server at localhost Port 9675"

This one with another username and password of its own.

Is it me, or i smell the aroma of fish? This whole setup section is all "greyed out", which means i cannot select, change or deactivate, ANYTHING. So, my question would be this:

1) What is tr69?
2) What is CWMP Setup?
3) How can the menus be able to function and respond to my clicking, so i can deactivate the damn thing (like some lan/wan functions i already did)?
Is the router provided by your ISP? If so, that is likely the settings only they can access.
The current router, yes.

I agree with cogadh. Technical Report 069 (TR-069) is a technical specification entitled CPE WAN Management Protocol (CWMP) which defines an application layer protocol for remote management of end-user devices.

It allows the ISP's "Auto Configuration Servers" to automatically configure, control, and manage your router so that it works on their network.

(from Wikipedia)
Thanks! False alarm, then...

Never mind, i already got "Wireless Network Watcher" and keep blocking all unknown devices that keep popping up connected in my system.

And i was lucky enough to catch a big fish. One such device, was nicknamed "STUDENT 6". From my experience while still in the university (the one i abandoned for personal reasons), all machines there had such nicks. And i posted earlier how each time i log into a webpage, especially email related, to the far left corner of the page, unknown addresses flash through, one of them belonging to the mailing system of a local university...

I also found out i may have been transmitting MULTICAST. And i also fear that my emails whenever i send something out, just might be spreading out to other people as well, not only the recipient i specify. But this needs an expert to advice me on how to make certain and how to remedy.

He asked that question over a year ago.

You have fallen victim to more of Tauto's bullshit.

I PMd a Blue again about this. If they aren't going to do anything about this worthless fuckwad they could at least have the common goddam courtesy to tell us why.

No answer. I guess they don't even have the courtesy then.
